69 Tours aims to provide our guests and visitors with a truly local Australian experience. Our tours have been specifically designed to incorporate as many authentic Australian elements as possible in each and every tour. From the use of local guides, to the type of food which is included in our all-inclusive tours, you will be hard pressed to find another tour organiser that will give you as authentic Australian experience as you will have with 69 Tours.

Our tours are private, informal and offer some degree of flexibility. We use local guides who are experienced and knowledgeable, who will provide information about the various places which you visit. Very often they will add their own stories and experiences which you may find interesting, and which will add context to the locations that you are visiting.

We try to provide unique tours that will take you to places that are very special in their own Australian way. It could be the wildlife that you will see and interact with, or it could be the scenery and views which are truly unique and memorable. Australia in an incredibly large country with a huge amount of interesting and unique locations and attractions in all large cities and many other regions. Although we do provide tours to some of the more popular destinations, our preference is to find attractions which are not as well known, but which offer something really unique and memorable. For this reason, we have devised a motto which says “it’s not about the tours…it’s where they take you”

As a repeat traveler to Melbourne, I was looking for a memorable experience and that’s exactly what I found by spending the afternoon treasure hunting with Peter. He was a very patient and knowledgeable guide with true enthusiasm for metal detecting and providing an optimum guest experience. He was a fabulous communicator and an attentive host. Because he is not only a seasoned guide but also a fabulous person, Peter was quick to anticipate needs before they could even arise. Not only was treasure hunting exciting and fun, it was a truly memorable way to explore new parts of the city. We found coins that had been buried under the dirt for decades and are no longer in circulation. We also found dollars that I was able to use during my time in Australia which was a fun reward! I highly recommend Peter and his treasure hunting adventure for a unique experience. I look forward to booking other experiences with Peter for myself and for my family in trips to come."

I picked Great Ocean Road- all inclusive and private tour, shows all the locations and is less crowded! We got to see beautiful places including secret location! We took a stop whenever we felt like it! Piotr is extremely welcoming and his friendly nature makes the experience memorable. He has a vast knowledge and is very informative. Definitely recommend!"

Most of our tours of a longer duration are all-inclusive and include meals. Whilst the easy option is to dine at a café or restaurant, we do things a little differently. Our all-inclusive tours include Australian style picnic lunches and dinners which are eaten outdoors in a natural setting. Very often we have “unexpected guests” joining us, in the form of cockatoos, kookaburras and other native Australian animals. This is certainly not the experience you will get in a café or restaurant…and we think that is a positive.

Our Australian style picnic meals incorporate local food that has an Australian heritage and meals that you will only get to eat here, in Australia. Whilst not fancy food, very rarely do we get complaints. You will taste fresh locally sourced fish, potato cakes, dim sims, an Australian hamburger with “the lot” and, perhaps even a chiko roll. If you haven’t heard of some of these dishes, then that’s ok. Our tours are all about getting you to experience Australia, in all its forms.
